Harry Owen, the inaugural Poet Laureate for Cheshire (UK) in 2003, moved to South Africa’s Eastern Cape in January 2008. His work is widely published in literary journals and anthologies in the UK, USA and South Africa.

Harry is a widely experienced performer, teacher and workshop facilitator who also hosts the hugely popular monthly open-floor poetry event called Reddits Poetry in Grahamstown, where he lives.
In 2012 his poetry features in the English Olympiad anthology Small Town, Big Voice along with that of Chris Mann and Don Maclennan.
