A. Thiagarajan

A postgraduate in English, A. Thiagarajan taught in colleges in India, before joining the finance sector. He has been writing in English and Tamil since college days. His work (poems, haiku, short stories and articles) has, besides in some anthologies, appeared in international poetry journals. He lives in Mumbai.

Adam Donaldson Powell

Adam Donaldson Powell (NORWAY) is a multilingual author, editor and literary critic, writing in English, Spanish, French and Norwegian; and a professional visual artist and photobook critic. He has (to-date) published seven books (including collections of poetry, short stories, novellas and literary criticism) in the USA, Norway and India, as well as several short and longer works in international literary publications on several continents. He has previously authored theatrical works performed onstage, and he has read his poetry at various venues in such places as New York City (USA), Oslo (Norway), Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Kathmandu (Nepal).

Anna Hamlin

Anna Hamlin graduated from the University of Witwatersrand in 1958 and set off for England. She worked in radio for the African services of BBC Radio, and later produced a weekly television series for East and West Africa on which memorable South Africans like Zakes Mokae, Lewis Nkosi, Arthur Maimane, Dorothy Masuka and Andrew Tracy made regular appearances. She returned to South Africa in 2006 from New York. Apart from writing plays and songs, her major professional objective is to promote the teaching of the newly written - but still ignored - South African history.

Arlene L. Mandell

Arlene L. Mandell, a retired English professor, has had work published in more than 300 literary magazines and 11 anthologies. Most recently a handwritten copy of her New Year’s Resolutions, written when she was 15, appeared in the anthology To-Do List. The poem “Violet Blue and Lemon Yellow” will appear in her book My Life on Hemlock Street: A Brooklyn Memoir.

Betty Govinden

Betty Govinden is an academic, researcher and writer, with varied interests. Her recent publications include A Time of Memory – Reflections on Recent South African Writing (Solo Collective, Durban, 2008), Sister Outsiders – Representations of Identity and Difference in Selected Writings by South African Indian Women (Unisa Press, Pretoria, 2008), Words on Water – Reflections on Writings (Lap Publishing, Germany). In July 2008, she co-edited an issue of Scrutiny2 with Professor Isabel Hofmeyr from the University of the Witwatersrand on the theme Indian Writings in South Africa.

Bhuwan Thapaliya

Bhuwan Thapaliya is a Nepali poet writing in English. And most of his poetries are published on various journals, newspapers, CD’s, various online and offline journals and sites all over the world. His first poetry book, “Our Nepal, Our Pride,” edited by Adam Donaldson Powell, is scheduled to be published by Cyberwit very soon in 2008.

Bishnupada Ray is a Reader in English in North Bengal University, Darjeeling, West Bengal, India. His poems have been published in Indian Literature,New Quest and Makata.
